When you don’t have clarity
Go from your country… to the land I will show you. – Genesis 12:1
Have you ever wished God would just tell you what’s next?
I have. There have been seasons where I’ve prayed, waited, listened, and still felt like I was walking in the dark. No clear direction. No timeline. Just questions. And if I’m honest, those are the moments when my emotions feel the most unstable, one day I’m full of faith, the next I’m wrestling with doubt.
Abraham’s call in Genesis 12 has always grounded me in those moments. God said, go, but not where. Abraham had to move forward one step at a time, without knowing the destination.
Anyone can feel strong when the path is obvious. But real faith is built when you take the next step without seeing the whole picture. When you choose to trust God’s heart even when you don’t understand His hand.
Uncertainty has a way of exposing what we’re really leaning on. Our plans. Our timelines. Our need for control. And in that exposure, God invites us into something deeper: not answers, but dependence.
You may not know what’s next. You may feel emotionally up and down. But God is not unclear about one thing: He is with you. And He is faithful.
Sometimes the strongest faith isn’t loud or confident. It’s simply choosing to obey… when you’d rather have clarity first.
Prayer: Lord, steady my heart in the unknown, and teach me to follow you one step at a time.
Reflect: Where is uncertainty testing your trust in God right now?
