If you have a Firewall, or an anti virus package, you may need to configure it so that System Access and SAMNet can use your internet connection. If you have a Firewall, you may also need to give System Access and SAMNet access to your internet connection.
The following Windows based software is known to introduce some incompatibilities with System Access and SAMNet. If you have one of these software packages, it is recommended that you switch to a comparable package that isn't on this list. This list will change as new undesirable software is located.
Norton Anti virus, and Norton's security suite will prevent System Access from obtaining updates. If you continue to use these packages, you will want to periodically deactivate Norton to allow System Access to obtain updates.
McAfee security has been known to prevent System Access from accessing the internet, even after instructing the software to allow it.
