Machine IDs are how Serotek identifies computers. These machine IDs are also used to verify that a valid software license is present on a given computer. If a hard drive becomes corrupted, or you buy a new computer, Serotek staff can reset the machine ID to allow a refresh of the software license. Please be advised that this process is closely monitored by Serotek in order to prevent abuse of the software license. If a true emergency occurs, the primary machine ID, or the secondary machine ID can be reset, thereby allowing Serotek software to run for you again. If you require this emergency measure, please call Serotek customer support.
