Hello my dear LORD,
You know how I am feeling today. Suffice here to say that, no matter what my circumstances might be, You are the glorified One, You are the magnified One, You are the blessed One. I refuse to fall into bitternaess or recrimination.
I want to recommend to my readers today to read the book of Acts. Well, I really recommend to my readers to read the whole Bible, but today I want to underscore the book of the Acts of the apostles, so that we may all get encouragement from reading about the lives of the followers of the Lord Jesus, especially the apostle Paul. The book of Acts gives a lot of details about the life of Paul. We can read in this book how many trials and tribulations did Paul go through. Paul is my human hero, Jesus being, of course, my Divine Hero of all time.
In this world, we humans love our celebrities. We admire and follow people who are famous, powerful or wealthy. But these celebrities belong to the world and live lives of sin. They behave in outrageous ways. They use drugs. They rob the people they are supposed to serve in political office, they parade themselves almost naked in public. I believe, oh God, this is why You wrote books like Acts for us, so that we followers of Christ may turn away from the things of the world and emulate those of Your servants who preceeded us. In Your Scriptures we have the instructions on how to conduct ourselves as Christians, living in the world but not being of it, so that we may shine in the midst of the dirt of sin.
This is the day the LORD has made. Thank You, God, for giving me this day.
