Dear God,
I think You are turning me more and more into the person You want me to be.
Thank You for helping me get out of bed every morning. I do not think I could do it without You.
Thank You for the fact that the street I live on is lined with trees, which are the homes of so many wonderful song birds and doves. I hear the song birds and the lovely doves in the morning and in the evening. Amazing that I have these representatives of Your creation, bringers of joy, so close to me, right in the middle of this crowded, noisy and polluted wild city.
I live between two large rivers, East and Hudson, and I hear the seagulls morning and evening, sometimes even late at night, as they fly across from river to river. They fly right by my apartment. Oh, God, what a beautiful thing it is for me to hear them fly by, especially late at night. I think they are singing to You, and they want me to hear, as a reminder of Your wonderful works.
I have a friend who is in a lot of health trouble, and I am not sure that he will come out of it too well. Even so, I sit in the knowledge that every detail of the created universe, every little thing that happens in our lives, is under Your will and purpose, no matter how terrible the event might be. I pray for my friend, I ask You to rescue him from sin and death, and I also ask You to heal him completely. I speak to my friend about my Lord Jesus, and he listens to me with polite respect, but I know very well that only You can open his heart and his spiritual eyes to You and to the truth. Even though I pray You to give him the best outcome, I am so assured in the fact that, whatever happens, it is all for Your glory and Your purpose, and this is a tremendous thing to be assured of. To be sitting in this assurance, to have You take me in Your arms and be covered by Your wings has definitely put me in a different place. LORD, I want to go home, oh, how I want to go home, and, as Your Word says, I wait in eager expectation. Thank You so much.

Many blessings keep coming when your heart is filled with gratitude.
Thank you for your blog I don’t have much time to read such things my work keeps me busy. I agree about the lost and pray for them. Some times I wonder if I were sighted would pay more attention to me and what I am saying I wonder. but only god can unlock the heart. I must remenber we are only the messenger he does the work. Keep on blogging.
